UNION RAILWAY MINISTER TO DEDICATE / INAUGURATE ELEVEN PROJECTS AND PASSENGER AMENITIES OVER TAMIL NADU
Thiru Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways will visit Chennai Central Railway Station on 24th June, 2017.During a function to be held at Chennai Central Railway Station at 14.30 hrs. on that day, the Union Minister of Railways will Dedicate / Inaugurate a number of Projects and Passenger Amenities in Chennai, Tiruchchirappalli and Madurai Divisions.Thiru Pon Radhakrishnan, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Shipping, Thiru D. Jayakumar, Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries, Finance, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Hon’ble Members of Parliament and Hon’ble Members of Legislative Assembly of the area will grace the occasion by their presence.
The Projects and Passenger Amenities that are to be Dedicated / Inaugurated during the function at Chennai Central Railway Station:
1.Dedication of 4th line between Ennore – Tiruvottiyur Railway Stations (7 km) to the Nation.
2.Dedication of 2 Lifts at Chennai Egmore Railway Station to the Nation.
3.Dedication of LED lighting at 17 stations over Chennai Division including 2 stations through CSR to the Nation.
4.Dedication of 10 KW Solar Plant at Moore Market Complex to the Nation.
5.Inauguration of Differently abled-friendly Rest Room at Moore Market Complex.
6.Inauguration of Elevated Booking Office at Pallavaram Railway Station.
7.Inauguration of Food Plaza at Tambaram Railway Station.
8.Inauguration of 5 Water Vending Machines over Chennai Division.
9.Inauguration of Wi-Fi Facility at Arakkonam Jn. Railway Station.
Through Video Conferencing from Chennai Central Railway Station, Dedication of the following will be done:
1.Dedication of refurbished Food Plaza at Tiruchchirappalli Junction Railway Station to the Nation.
2.Dedication of refurbished Food Plaza and Water Vending Machine at Madurai Junction Railway Station to the Nation.
Local functions will be arranged at Tiruchchirappalli Junction and Madurai Junction Railway Stations also.
